Hi, my name is Ashley Lucas and I'm the artist and crafty girl behind Today, I'm going to show you how to shape food to look like a dinosaur. Okay, for this project, we're going to need one large unpeeled carrot, several toothpicks, two cloves, four peeled baby carrots, and a knife such as this one. Okay to assemble your dinosaur, you're going to take the large unpeeled carrot on its side and cut a little wedge to make the mouth. I've done this already to show you, okay. When you're done with that, you're going to split some of your toothpicks in half so they have a sharp edge and you're going to insert them into the baby carrot. The last thing you're going to want to do to the carrot is cut the very edge off so your dinosaur has some stability when it's standing. Okay, you're going to want to insert all four of the legs into the large carrot body like this and the last thing you're going to do is put your cloves in to the head like this for the eyes. Let me show you after you've done all that, this is what your food dinosaur will look like and something I like to do is cut up a little bit of cabbage or lettuce or something green and kind of make a bed for him to sit in like this. Okay it's a great centerpiece for a party, a barbecue, even a picnic, you could make something like this. I hope you enjoyed learning how to shape this little dinosaur out of food. My name is Ashley, and you can find me on line at
