Hi, my name is Ashley Lucas and I'm the artist and crafty girl behind Ladylucas.com. Today, we're going to be making an Earth Day craft for preschool kids, this really cute little owl. To make your owl, you're going to need a toilet paper roll, some strong craft glue, two recycled bottle caps. You can use the plastic ones as well, a marker, some white scrap paper, a hole puncher, some scissors. You could use some fancy ones such as these with the little scalloped edge, and a lightly used brown bag such as this one. Okay the first step for your recycled owl, is you're going to place the toilet paper roll on its side and glue the bottle caps very close to the top. You can also make some pupils for the eyes using just a hole puncher and a little marker to do the dots inside. Now I've glued this ahead of time because they're quite heavy and they kind of go to the side. So once you get your eyes in position, it's time to cut out everything else you're going to need. So firstly, you're going to need some wings about this size, just an easy triangle shape, then some tiny triangles for the ears and kind of a long diamond shape makes a great beak. You can just fold it in half and he's like a little talking bird. Okay and once you glue these components on your owl body, you'll get this little guy, a great craft for Earth Day. Thank you so much for joining me. My name is Ashley and you can visit me on line at Ladylucas.com.
