Hi, my name is Meredith Bullock, director of marketing with Savvi Formalwear in Atlanta, and I'm at the Anya Bridal Warehouse today to talk to you about what brides wear in the grass. You have a garden wedding and you want some tips on what you can wear on your feet in the grass and then also how you can wear your wedding dress, what styles you can pick that are going to help you out and not trip you up. So first off, formal wear, here we have some obvious no nos. You want to stay away from any high heel. This heel is just going to sink into the grass. You're constantly going to be kind of tripping over yourself and any shoe that has I would say more than a two and a half to three inch heel, you're going to run into issues. If you want to wear a heel, your better option is a wedge. It's going to have a flat base and it's going to be much easier for you to walk around but it will give you that lift that you need and my obvious favorite is just a flat. Go with a flat sandal, do some sparkle, you'll still feel like a bride but you'll be getting around much faster. When selecting what gown to wear, when you're thinking of having a wedding that will take place in a garden, in a backyard, either way you'll be walking through grass. You need to think about the length of the gown, any dress that has little or no train will be wonderful for you to walk in. People aren't going to step on you. You're not going to get it snagged easily in the grass. I would absolutely stay away from lace. Lace will rip and pull very easily. This dress is a plain chiffon dress. It has no train so it will be very easy for you to get around. This dress is an adorable option for somebody who is getting married in the grass. It's short, it's playful but all the sparkle still says I'm a bride and today is my big day. This last dress is a wonderful option for a bride that wants to be a bride on her wedding day, would love a train but still wants to be able to get around in the grass very easily. A bubble hemline is just a brilliant idea. You're going to be able to walk around. You're not going to trip. You don't have to worry about it getting hung up on things. You wear a bubble hemline you'll look like you're just kind of floating along on the grass and you won't have anything to worry about.
