Hi. I'm Colleen Mullaney for colleenmullaney.com. And I've got a great really inexpensive, but very easy craft that the kids can make and they can give as gifts. They're really fun, little plastic glitter balls. And here's how. Now, these balls are readily available in different sizes in the craft stores. And they come like this. I like the bigger size because they're just, you know they create more of a sparkle. So, what we're going to do is take the top off and set that aside. And we're going to grab our craft glue and just kind of put lots of glue all over the ball. And the kids love this. You know, they love glue, they love glitter. It's all part of the holidays, sparkle. And then we're going to grab our paint brush and just paint on the glue. Make sure you have a liberal amount of glue, and you know kids, they can never have enough glue. And remember the perfection is in the imperfection. It's you know, all about the kids' craft and how they see it and how they make it. There we go. OK. Then we take our glitter, over a paper plate, and we just pour the glitter on. And you just keep going and going and going until it's nice and coated. And these glitters are great. They come in so many different colors. These are a bit finer than the other glitters that you can get at the crafts store. These are really nice. Now, you just shake it off and then what I do if I have a lot of glitter on the plate, I kind of take another paper plate and put the glitter on that plate. And then I reuse the glitter because if you have a lot of kids making these crafts or if your kids are making them for gifts, then they're going to use several, they're going to need lots of balls and lots of glitter. So, once we have that covered and dried.. you know what I did to dry it, I just took my paint brush and I stuck my paint brush stick in there and I stuck my paint brush the other way down into a cup full of paint brushes. And it kind of dried nice and evenly that way. So, once we have our ball completely covered in glitter, and your kitchen's completely covered in glitter, and your kids. Then we take our ball, we put our top back on and to just kind of add another little touch of holiday glam, these are easy. This is the easy part. These are felt appliques and they come in bags. They come in all different sizes. And you just stick one right on the front of the ball. Now, you might need a little glue as well to make this snowflake stick. Because if the ball is really covered in glitter, then the glue will definitely help the snowflake stick to the ball. So, here we have our finished one and it is ready to go as a gift. Now, you can also finish it off with a piece of decorative ribbon, or you can just use the string that came with the ball. And here's one in red and this has the.. this is like the bigger cut glitter and this is the finer glitter. And aren't these like so adorable? I mean can you stand it? They're going to make great Christmas gifts for your kids to give. Thanks for watching. I'm Colleen Mullaney.
