Hi, I'm chef, Veronica Rains, head baker at Wholesome Chow. Today, we'll be demonstrating a delicious gluten free and vegan ginger cookie recipe. This is perfect for the holidays, it's a nice, little, spicy cookie and it's very easy to bake. We're going to be using Wholesome Chow's gluten free flour mix for this recipe. Although, you can also use any other gluten free flour mix, that also contains baking powder or baking soda and salt. The ingredients you'll need are, three quarters of one cup, sugar, one-third cup molasses, one-third cup oil, three tablespoons of any kind of milk that you prefer. Such as soy milk, almond milk or cow milk. One-half teaspoon vanilla, one and three quarters of a cup of a gluten free flour mix, such as Wholesome Chow's gluten free flour mix. Three teaspoons ground ginger, and one-half teaspoon, ground nutmeg. The first step to making our gluten free and vegan ginger snap cookies, is to cream together our sugar, along with the rest of our liquid ingredients. So, we'll add sugar to our mixing bowl, our molasses, which you'll probably need a spatula. Your oil and your milk, we'll add the vanilla at the end. Using an electric mixer, you want to beat on medium to medium-high for about one to two minutes, or until everything is well incorporated. Alright, once we have thoroughly combined all of our previous ingredients. We will add our vanilla, along with our ground ginger, our ground nutmeg, and our gluten free flour mix. Then, we're going to beat on medium-high for about another one to two minutes, until everything is well incorporated. O.k., once we have thoroughly combined our batter, we're going to plate, scoop balls of the dough onto our greased cookie sheet. We're also going to preheat our oven to 350 degrees. Alright, look how beautiful our dough looks. Now, we're going to scoop it into tablespoon size balls. You can roll it with your hand and place it on your cookie sheet. You want to place them on your cookie sheet, approximately two to three inches apart. Because they will flatten as they bake. We're going to bake these for about 12 minutes, or until the edges start to turn brown. Now that we've finished baking our gluten free, vegan ginger snap cookies, it's time to put them onto the plate for serving. I hope you enjoy, thank you.
