A 75th birthday is a milestone and is cause for celebration. There are a variety of ideas to consider when thinking about the type of card you want to give your loved one or friend. Show him how much he means to you and wish him a spectacular 75th birthday.
Create a nostalgic 75th birthday card that incorporates a time that the recipient grew up in or reflects on memories with family and friends. You may also base your card on something from the past that the person enjoys or is fascinated with. For example, if the honoree is a big history buff, buy a card that includes images related to the time period of interest. If he's a Jazz fan, give a card that includes an image of his favorite Jazz musicians or a famous Jazz club scene.
Family and Friends
A photo of family and friends as the centerpiece on the front panel of your card is a wonderful idea for presentation at a birthday gathering. Create a design in a graphics program that wishes the recipient a "Happy 75th Birthday," and add the group photo below it. Alternatively, add the group photo on the inside panel as a surprise with a photo of the person on the outside. Add text that reads "This Birthday Boy Has Made a Lot of Friends in His 75 Years," and then on the inside panel write "Too Many to Fit on This Card But Here's A Few." Consider having your text and images printed on an extra large card.
A handmade card created by grandchildren is certainly one of the most appreciated types of birthday card. If there are a several children, create a large birthday card using poster board. Purchase craft materials from a craft supply store, including crayons, construction paper, nontoxic glue and children's scissors. Help the children cut out the number 75 and create 75 designs on the card. For example, they could draw 75 birthday hats or birthday cakes repeatedly all over the card. Make sure that each child prints his name on the card.
