Home Gym Paint Colors

Paint a home gym in a color that draws you in and makes you want to stay awhile. Think about your exercise habits before you paint. If you loathe working out indoors, painting your gym to resemble the great outdoors is a must. If bright colors are needed as much as your morning coffee, paint your gym using a bold color choice to wake you up for early morning workouts. Choose a color that will enhance your workout routine.

Inspiration Theme Colors

  • Choose a theme for the gym that makes you enjoy the time you spend there. If an island in the tropics is your cup of tea, start painting with the colors of the sun. If snow skiing is more your sport, bring in bright whites, pine greens, the crystal blue of a Colorado sky or the color of your favorite ski jacket. Choose the colors of your favorite football team. Paint three walls a solid light color and the forth as an accent wall using a bold or bright color. On the accent wall, hang a flat screen to watch the game or photos from the beach or incentive photos to help you get back in that swimsuit or ski gear.

A Soothing Palette

  • Balance the grays and blacks of the equipment with colors that soothe your mind. Soften the room with earth-toned paint palettes. Choose rich tones along the lines of sand or sage. Add a little brightness to a soft earth-toned palette in the the space using a creamy maize. Balance a solid color room by painting the ceiling and trim a bright white.

Go Bold

  • Go bold to give your gym an uplifting powerful vibe. Chili pepper inspired reds, rich azure blue, sunset orange or vibrant rain forest green make a statement in a gym. Balance the bold color by adding a focal point on one wall. Hang a festive colored Southwestern inspired rug or blanket on a chili pepper red wall for a dramatic highlight.
