Kids love playing with slime. Slime is slippery, mushy and fun to use for playing pranks or squishing between fingers. Making slime is a fun Halloween project or party activity for kids. You can make slime using things you have around the house, but it's not recommended to eat slime, so supervise young children with slime. Wash your hands after playing with slime and don't put the slime in your mouth.

Cornstarch Slime

Add food coloring to a big bowl of water. Add cornstarch and mix until the slime is the consistency you want it. Knead with your hands until the slime feels right.

School Glue Slime

Add some food coloring to 1/4 cup of liquid starch. Add 1/4 cup of white school glue and roll the mixture around in your hands in a plastic sealed baggie until the consistency is right.

Jello Slime

Make a bowl of green jello and set it aside. Mix a second batch of jello and do not chill. Mix the jellos together and add a little water until the slime is how you want it.

Borax Slime

Add a tablespoon of borax to a cup of water. Separately, make a half-water, half-white glue mixture. In a sandwich bag, mix equal parts of each mixture together and add a few drops of food coloring. Seal the bag and knead the slime until it is mixed.
