While some may remember big hair, bad makeup and shoulder pads from the 1980s, many remember the decade fondly as the one in which they came of age. The 70s were about protest and rebellion, while the 80s were all about having fun. Bright colors, punchy music and a dance party attitude defined the taste makers of the time. New York city caters to those nostalgic for the 80s with clubs and lounges that devote weekend nights to exclusively playing 80s music.
The Triumph room is a spacious lounge with a beautiful hard wood dance floor. Spot lights illuminate the floor in different colors while cushy chairs and low tables surround the space. The bar is highlighted with neon red lights underneath to match the rest of the decor. Start out having dinner at the posh Providence restaurant, that masks the club, then head downstairs and dance the night away to 80s music, featured on Friday nights.
