Catholic Baby Shower Games

A baby shower is a joyous time to celebrate new life. Baby showers allow family and friends to gather together, play games, and eat delicious snacks. There are many baby shower games to choose from, even some Catholic games that will help you celebrate your faith while you are celebrating a new life. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Bible Trivia

    • There are many different bible verses that relate to the blessing of children. Find these biblical passages to host your own version of bible trivia. Split your guests into two groups. Each group alternates to answer your trivia question. If one team has the incorrect answer, the other team can guess to earn a point for the trivia question. If you have a small number of people attending your shower, allow guests to play as individuals. Take turns asking your biblical trivia to one individual at a time. Each correct trivia answer is worth one point. The team or individual that accumulates the most points wins.

    Name the Bible Character

    • This game is easy and fun. Using a sheet of paper, write a column of names on the left side of your paper that are characters from the bible. On the right side, create a column that lists characteristics or traits of the bible characters. Make sure as you create your list that the correct answers are not horizontally across from each other. Create a copy of your game for each shower guest. Each correct match receives one point. The player with the most correctly matched bible characters wins.

    Personalized Baby Message

    • Assemble a list of the mother's favorite religious words. Place these words on a blank sheet of paper. Have each baby shower attendee create a special message to the mother and baby using as many of the religious words as possible. Each attendee will then read her message to the group. The mother-to-be can choose her favorite message and present the winner with a small gift. Have each guest sign her greeting and present these messages to the mother to keep as a shower keepsake.
