Keeping your clothes free of stains all the time is practically impossible. This can lead some people to altogether refuse to wear white clothing. Even for adults who have left childhood behind them, stains that come about as a result of being accident-prone are an ever-present reality. Some stains are harder to remove than other stains are.

Wax Stain

One of the hardest stains to remove is the wax stain, according to Gotchoo. Once wax from a candle makes contact with your clothing's fabric, it can be very hard to get out. Removing the wax from your clothing is doable, but you have to be ready to invest some time in the process. Take a dull knife and proceed to scrape the wax off after it hardens. Then cover up the stain with a piece of paper towel and iron over it with a warm iron until the wax is gone. Put your clothing in the washer to complete the process.

Mustard Stain

Mustard is another one of those stains that are among the hardest to remove from any piece of clothing, indicates Getchoo. Mustard can come in many varieties: Dijon mustard, German mustard, English mustard and yellow mustard are some examples. Each one is tough to remove. There are no special methods to remove mustard when it gets on your clothes. Simply brush the mustard stain off the minute that it gets onto your clothing, and wash the spot on your clothing repeatedly until the mustard disappears.

Lipstick Stain

A lipstick stain on the shirt of a cheating spouse has long been the source of his downfall, the reason being that lipstick is quite tricky to remove from a piece of clothing. A lipstick stain is greasy and needs repeated efforts to be completely removed, reports Getchoo. You have to dab the lipstick stain, soak it, and then finally wash it repeatedly in the washing machine. Remember that since it is one of the hardest stains, it will have to be washed a few times.

Butter Stain

A butter stain is considered as one of the most difficult types of stain to remove, says Getchoo. To succeed at removing one, arm yourself with warm water, a soft sponge, grease solvent and shampoo. First, apply a moderate amount of grease solvent to your butter stain and permit it to dry. It will not take a long time for it to dry. Using the sponge, apply the warm water on the stain along with some shampoo, and carefully lift the stain by rubbing the sponge on the stain.
