Avid Denver Broncos fans are often on the hunt for ways to show support for their favorite football team. Decorating your bedroom walls in honor of the Broncos is certainly a good place to start, particularly in a child's room. Team pennants and posters are obvious options, but they can lack creativity. If you are looking for a more individualized way of showing your devotion to the Broncos than another John Elway poster, there are several eye-catching looks for your wall that will let everyone know which team you root for on Sundays.
One of the easiest ways to decorate the walls in a Denver Broncos fan’s room is to paint them in the team colors. Blue and orange are both bold, bright shades so they may be overwhelming if used on all four walls. Using the white from the Broncos’ uniform as the primary color for the walls usually provides the best backdrop for the room’s decorating scheme. However, to give the room a more spirited look, incorporate the other two shades as well. Divide the walls in half, and paint the top portion white. Opt for either blue or orange for the bottom half, depending on your preference. Install a chair rail or molding on the border between the two colors to give the walls a finished look. Paint the chair rail in the team’s third uniform shade for a bright look that screams team spirit.
If you prefer a more subtle look, use a white paint for the walls and add a Denver Broncos decorative border just below the ceiling. You can purchase peel-and-stick borders in various National Football League team designs, so adding the Broncos logo along the tops of your wall is easy. Alternatively, you may use the border as a faux chair rail in the center of the wall.
Yearbook Cover Display
Team yearbooks often feature attractive artwork that makes an ideal wall decoration. However, pinning a single yearbook cover to your wall may not have the impact that you would like. Instead, assemble a larger wall hanging by gathering multiple yearbooks and fitting them together. Search online auction sites and sports memorabilia websites for as many different Denver Broncos’ yearbooks as you can find or that will fit your chosen area. Remove the covers using a utility knife or another tool that provides a straight, clean edge. Determine whether you want to frame each cover individually or purchase an extra large frame to place them side by side. You can arrange the covers in chronological order or group them in some other way that catches your eye. If there is a particular cover that you like, you can even use several copies of it. When using individual frames, hang them as close together as possible to give the wall an attractive tiled effect.
A mural is a good way to personalize a bedroom for a Denver Broncos fan. You can use a variety of images, such as the team logo, stadium or a favorite player on the field. Search online for one that catches your eye, and make a copy of it so you can create a transparency. Rent an overhead projector from an office supply store, and project the image onto the wall that you plan to cover. Carefully trace the image with a pencil, and use acrylic paint to fill in the appropriate colors, taking your time so the pencil marks are not visible.
