When celebrating birthdays, residents of Louisville, Kentucky, have options for sites to host their parties ranging from children-oriented recreation centers to chic dining experiences. Louisville venues require you to book a private room for parties in advance. Many Louisville venues with birthday party services do not allow outside catering, but most will allow parties to bring birthday cake. Some birthday venues in Louisville provide live entertainment for parties.
Puzzle's Fun Dome
Located on the Bluegrass Parkway, Puzzle's Fundome (puzzlesfundome.com) is an indoor playground with attractions such as a miniature golf course, rock climbing and arcade video games. This venue's birthday packages include the Mini-Blast – a package for small birthday gatherings of eight guests – and Puzzle's Birthday Blast package caters to a large birthday group of 15 or more. Both packages include the use of the venue's party room and unlimited ice cream for children.
Downtown Louisville is home to Improv Louisville (improvlouisville.com), a theatrical venue featuring stand-up comedy and improv sketch comedy. For birthday parties, Improv Louisville rents out its entire space and accommodates groups of up to 400 guests; the venue can also rent out part of its space for smaller parties. The theater will provide a comedian from their improv troupe. Parties may rent out the facility during the afternoon or evening.
Incredible Dave's (incredibledaves.com) is in eastern Louisville, within a mile of Tom Sawyer State Park. This family-oriented restaurant offers amusement activities such as a bowling alley, giant inflatables, bumper cars, X-Box and Wii Lounge and Euro-Bungee. Birthday packages offer parties unlimited access to one of these activities for two hours. The packages cover 10 children guests and include food from Incredible Dave's children's menu. No outside catering is allowed, except for birthday cake.
Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse
Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse (jeffruby.com) is an upscale restaurant on the corner of Fourth and Main in Louisville's downtown area. Smaller birthday parties can take advantage of the Platinum Room, a ritzy space with a birthday cake-shaped chandelier and Art Deco elevator doors; this room accommodates up to 13 guests. The Churchill room, named after the nearby Churchill Downs racetrack, seats 50 guests and features a mahogany fireplace and horse-racing memorabilia. Jeff Ruby's provides a banquet menu for birthday parties.
Lazer Blaze (lazerblaze.com) is in the St. Matthews neighborhood of Louisville, approximately five minutes west of the Mall St. Matthews. This laser tag venue offers three birthday packages: Standard, Ultimate and Extreme. The Extreme Package includes two hours in the party room, three games of laser tag for birthday guests, pizza, sheet birthday cake and unlimited soft drinks. The birthday person receives two complimentary Lazer Blaze passes for a later date. The minimum of party guests is eight. Lazer Blaze does not allow outside catering.
