        Gather your ingredients: a tablespoon or two salt, a tablespoon or two baking soda, and a little bit of water.

        With a sponge, squeeze water directly onto the spill in a warm oven.

        Cover the spill with a thin layer of salt.

        Let the spill stand until the oven cools.

        Scrape away the mess.

        Sprinkle a thin layer of baking soda on any stains that remain.
