How to Get Rid of the Shine Created by Ironing Polyester
If your iron is set too high, or you leave the iron in one place too long, you may cause the fibers in polyester to melt and fuse together, which is hard to correct. If the fibers are only flattened, and not fused, you can lift the fibers up, which will remove the shininess. Vinegar can help to separate and lift the fibers, and some steam heat will further aid in the process. Does this Spark an idea?
