on 9/4/2009 It's impossible to clean jewelry, especially rope necklaces, and get off all the tarnish w/o leaving residue unless you use a liquid silver cleaner. Silvermate is the best Silver cleaner I have ever found to clean all my silver, silverplate, and gold. you can find them at www.silvermatecompany.com

on 1/15/2009 I worked in a jewlery store when I was younger and they used any kind of baking soda toothpaste to clean the jewlery. It was les expensive and rinsed off with water. It works great on any kind of silver or gold. Also an electric toothbrush makes the job go alot faster.
