Playing the Game UNO for Kids

UNO is just right for kids. The card game teaches colors as well as numbers in a fun atmosphere. The purpose of UNO is to be the first player to reach 500 points. Points are calculated by everyone giving the winner of that game their cards and the winner adds up the points.

Instructions

    • 1

Shuffle the cards and deal each player seven cards. UNO is best played with more than two players. The person to the right of the person who dealt the cards gets to go first.

    • 2

Place the remaining cards face down to make a "face down" pile. This means the UNO logo is facing you. The top card of the pile should be turned over to begin a "face up" pile.

    • 3

Check your cards for possible matches. If there is none, the player must pick a card from the "pick from" pile. If a match is drawn, place it on the "face up" pile. Keep taking turns until a player has one card left, and says "UNO". Then add up the points.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you don't yell "UNO", you must pick two cards from the draw pile.
