Flat screen TVs collect dust and smudges like anything else in the house. Don't just spray any old glass cleaner on the screen, because it may damage the display beyond repair. Traditional glass cleaners can scratch the special finish on the front of the screen, making the image cloudier than ever before. To remove a smudge, you need special cleaning equipment available at most electronics stores, and just a few minutes of time.
Things You'll Need
- Flat screen TV cleaning spray
- Microfiber towels
Turn off the flat-screen TV using the power button and allow it to cool down if it has been running for a few hours.
Spray the flat screen TV cleaning spray onto the microfiber cloth, using as little cleaner as possible to get the job done.
Wipe down the screen using the microfiber towel, reapplying the flat screen TV cleaning spray to the microfiber cloth if necessary. Look down the side of the TV to see if any smudges remain, then allow the cleaner to dry.
