Your hot tub requires maintenance to keep the tub looking its best; plus, to prevent residue and bacteria from accumulating. Aside from cleaning the surface walls of the hot tub, you also need to clean the tub jets, because this is where much of the buildup and bacteria settles. A few mild cleaning ingredients will clean the jets and tub surface simultaneously, making the tub easy to clean and care for. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Dishwasher detergent
  • Bleach
  • Water
  • Cleaning rags

Instructions

      Check the water line of the hot tub, making sure all jet openings are submerged.

      Drop 2 dishwasher detergent tablets or 4 tbsp. liquid dishwasher detergent into the hot tub.

      Pour 1 cup bleach into the hot tub, as well.

      Turn on the hot tub jets at the highest speed and let the jets run for about 10 to 15 minutes.

      Drain the tub and wipe down the walls with a cleaning rag.

      Fill the tub again with hot water and let the jets run an extra 10 minutes for a final cleaning.
