      Hold the bottle of Febreze approximately 6 to 18 inches from the surface of the mattress.

      Spray a light mist of the Febreze over the entire surface.

      Allow the Febreze to dry for approximately 30 minutes.

      Sniff the mattress to see if you can still detect the mold odor. If you can, repeat the method. It is better to use two to three light coats of Febreze than to saturate the mattress.

      Allow the mattress to dry completely before putting on sheets and other bedding.
