Your Ultrasuede furniture gets its name from a synthetic fabric used to imitate expensive suede leather. To keep the furniture in top condition, you must remove stains as soon as they appear, since they settle rather quickly into this material. Depending on the stain, you might need to use different cleaning methods to get it out.
Things You'll Need
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Vacuum cleaner
Lightly blot the affected area with a dry cloth to absorb as much as possible.
Dampen another cloth in isopropyl alcohol, and press down on the stain with this cloth to absorb more of the stain.
Using a dry cloth, wipe the Ultrasuede fabric quickly to remove residue from the cleaning process.
Blot the stain using a clean, dry cloth.
Wet the cloth with warm water, and squeeze it out until it is damp.
Blot the stain again using the wet cloth. Repeat until the stain no longer appears.
Dry the area with another cloth. Allow the fabric to dry for a day.
Tips & Warnings
- When you vacuum the room, vacuum your Ultrasuede furniture to prevent dust from settling in. Use low power to prevent ruining the fabric.
