Parties with a golf theme are popular for a variety of situations, such as a retirement party for a golfer or a birthday party for a golf fan. Golf theme decorations can include anything golf related, such as golf tee flags. There's no need to buy these flags from a party store. Making your own golf tee flags for a party is easy and can be constructed quickly with felt pieces, nails, staples or glue and wooden dowels.

Things You'll Need

• Pencil or pen
• Ruler
• Scissors
• 8 1/2-by-11 paper
• 9-by-12 inches felt sheets
• Wooden dowels
• Stable gun (optional)
• Glue (optional)
• Hammer and nails (optional)

Instructions

1. Draw a triangle 8 1/2 inches tall by 11 inches wide on an 8 1/2-by-11 piece of paper for a template. Draw the triangle with a ruler, for straight lines, and a pencil.

2. Buy sheets of 9-by-12 felt for the number of flags you desire. Choose multiple colors or a single color. Transfer the paper triangle to the pieces of felt with a pencil or pen. Cut the triangles.

3. Attach each felt piece to the top of a wooden dowel. Use staples, glue or nails to attach the felt to the dowels. Choose 3-inch dowels for children's parties and 6-inch dowels for adult parties.

Tips & Warnings

• Felt is a good fabric to use because of its stiffness.
