How to Make Pizza Strombolis
Stromboli is a rolled-up version of a pizza pie. Strombolis may be made either sweet or savory; a pizza stromboli is a savory version, filled with ingredients including tomato sauce flavored with Italian herbs, cheeses, meats and sometimes vegetables. However, with a pizza stromboli, the tomato sauce is left off of the bread itself since it will prevent the bread from cooking thoroughly. If you add vegetables, partially steam or saute these before adding to the stromboli, and drain off any excess liquid to keep your pizza stromboli crust crisp. Does this Spark an idea?
