How to Juice Kiwi Fruit

Save

Kiwi fruits are sweet yet slightly tangy when fully ripe, and the contrast between the hard, tiny seeds and the soft flesh provides textural interest. You can use them in a wide variety of ways; eat them raw, slice them and place them on a tart, add them to a smoothie or make them into chutney. If you enjoy fruit juices, you can even make these versatile fruits into a juice at home. Drink the juice plain if you wish, or blend it with another juice of your choice.

Things You'll Need

  • Clean kitchen towel
  • Spoon
  • Juicer
  • Glass
  • Other juice (optional)
  • Spoon (optional)
Step 1

Rinse each of the kiwi fruits thoroughly. Even though you will be removing the skin, it is important to rinse the fruit to avoid accidental contamination from the skin to the flesh when you slice the fruit open. Dry the kiwi fruits gently with a clean kitchen towel.

Step 2

Peel all of the kiwi fruits you wish to juice. The easiest way to do this is by cutting off both ends, sliding a spoon between the kiwi fruit's skin and flesh, and sliding the spoon all the way around the kiwi fruit. This will separate the skin completely and you will be able to easily slide it off the fruit.

Step 4

Place a glass under your juicer's spout and put several of the kiwi fruit chunks into your juicer. Continue feeding the chunks to the juicer until you have completely juiced all of them.

Step 5

Blend your kiwi fruit juice with other juice if you wish. Some other juices that go well with the flavor of kiwi fruits include carrot juice, grape juice, strawberry juice and pineapple juice. Stir well with a spoon to blend completely, then enjoy.
