An automatic needle threader also simplifies the threading process.

1
Press the button on the left side of the case to disconnect the two halves of the cover. The front portion will swing out on a hinge located on the rear side.
-
2
Locate the two pins on the upper and lower parts of the hinge. Press the pins in simultaneously and remove the front cover.
-
-
3
Reach through the interior of the machine and push against the rear half of the cover. Lift the rear cover upwards and away from the handle.
-
4
Adjust the left dial to change the top thread tension. As the number increases, the tension on the thread will increase.
-
5
Adjust the dial on the right to change the stitch width. The dial also changes the needle position when sewing straight stitching.
-
6
The presser foot lever is located on the interior roof of the sewing machine and has three positions. Fully up allows the user to switch the presser foot for a different foot or remove thick fabrics. The middle position allows fabric to be inserted or removed. The lowest position presses the presser foot down on the fabric to sew.
-
7
The stitch selector is located on the rear of the machine. Turning the dial will change the type of stitch the machine will make. Ensure that the needle is not threaded when changing the stitch selection.
-
8
Plug the foot pedal cable into the slot on the rear of the sewing machine. Plug the power cable into the available port. Turn the power switch to "ON" to start the machine.
-
9
To insert a threaded bobbin, raise the presser foot lever to its highest position. Turn the hand wheel on the rear of the machine to raise the needle housing as high as it will go. On the bobbin cover plate, simultaneously slide the latch to the right and press down on the lower left corner. Insert the bobbin with the thread on top to the left. Ensure that the thread will be pulled counter-clockwise. Loop the thread through the small hook beside the bobbin and hang 6 inches of thread to the left. Replace the bobbin face plate.

To thread the top thread, raise the presser foot lever to its highest position. Turn the hand wheel on the rear of the machine to lift the needle to its highest position. Loop the thread through the right loop of the thread guide, down through the bottom loop, up through the left loop, and down through the needle housing.

Insert the fabric below the needle and lower the presser foot. Step on the foot pedal lightly to start sewing. Guide the fabric gently without pulling or pushing. Release the foot pedal when you reach the edge of the fabric. Raise the presser foot and use the thread cutter above the needle to snip the thread.

Tips & Warnings
Be patient and sew slowly at first. If the foot pedal is pressed too hard, the sewing machine will stitch too quickly and you may lose control of the machine.
Do not push or pull the fabric when sewing. This can misalign the stitches and stretch or pucker the fabric.
Do not leave the sewing machine unattended when powered on. The machine can be dangerous if misused or handled improperly. Be careful to avoid the moving parts, including the needle when in use.
