Tips & Warnings
A rug pad helps keep a scatter rug from moving and curling on the carpet. Be sure to purchase the type of rug pad suitable for use over carpeting.
Many manufacturers require the use of a rug pad beneath a rug to adhere to warranty guidelines.
Another alternative is to use rubber gripper corners that adhere to the bottom of the scatter rug. These corners have rubber teeth that stick out and grip the carpet surface, preventing the scatter rug from moving.
Do not use tape to secure the scatter rug because it can damage the surface of the carpet or the scatter rug.
