How to Make My Own Spray-On Chandelier Cleaner

Don't let your chandelier get covered in dust and cobwebs.

A chandelier can add a dramatic touch of elegance to a room. These lovely light fixtures do need regular cleaning, however, to maintain their bright appearance. If you want to save money, as well as the time required to go shopping, you can make your own spray-on chandelier cleaner right at home. This cleaning spray requires only simple, inexpensive ingredients that you may already have in your cabinet.

Things You'll Need

• Vinegar
• Spray bottle

Instructions

1. Remove the spray nozzle of a plastic spray bottle.

2. Fill the bottle half full of water.

3. Add white vinegar to the bottle until it is full.

4. Screw the spray nozzle back onto the bottle.

5. Spray the cleaning solution onto a folded paper towel or a lint-free cloth. Wipe the crystal or glass portions of the chandelier with the paper towel or cloth, reapplying the cleaning solution as necessary.

Tips & Warnings

• Use a damp cloth to clean the frame, links and bulbs, as vinegar may harm the finish.
