A Promethean board is an interactive white board used for teaching. Only dry erase markers should be used on the board. After each lesson, the dry erase ink should be removed from the board. If the board is not in use, it should be routinely cleaned to remove dirt and dust buildup on the board. If permanent marker or sharpie is accidentally used on the board, attempt to clean it as soon as possible. The longer it sits in the board, the more difficult it can be to remove. It may take several attempts to remove all of the permanent ink.
