DIY Card Making

DIY Card Making thumbnail
You can make your own greeting cards out of craft supplies.

Sending cards to family members or friends is a great way to tell them that you care about and love them. You can find a wide variety of cards at a card store or supermarket, but they often contain generic messages and can seem impersonal. One solution is to make your own cards using materials you can find at any craft supply store. Making your own cards will allow you to personalize and customize the cards to suit the receivers.

Instructions

    • 1

Fold a piece of 8-by-10-inch construction paper in half. You can either fold it width wise or length wise, whichever you prefer.

    • 2

Write a message onto the front of the card using squeezable craft glue.

    • 3

Cover the glue with glitter, then allow the glue to dry completely.

    • 4

      Shake off the excess glitter.

    • 5

Draw swirls and spirals onto the front of the card using paint pens. Allow the paint to dry completely.

    • 6

Squeeze dollops of glitter glue onto the ends of the spirals and swirls.

    • 7

Press sequins or plastic jewels onto the glitter glue dollops, then allow the glue to dry completely.

    • 8

Write a personal message inside the card using a paint pen or marker.
