Ceramic braces are gaining in popularity as they are far less visible than their metal counterpart. The brackets used for ceramic braces are bonded to individual teeth and made out of clear or tooth-colored materials to match your existing tooth color. Clear bands are often used in conjunction with ceramic braces to maintain an "invisible" appearance. However, clear bands are subject to staining. Does this Spark an idea?

      Avoid foods and beverages with strong colorants, such as, coffee, tea, wine, soda, ketchup, blueberries, or even tobacco.

      Brush your teeth after every meal and especially if you have had a strongly colored beverage or food.

      Brush and rinse with whitening toothpaste and mouthwash at night and in the mornings.

      Visit your orthodontist every month to have your clear bands replaced.
