Sunglasses can be a haven for germs. Sneezing kids, unwashed hands and dirty countertops may lead to germs being transferred to your sunglasses and your face. Disinfecting your sunglasses prevents the accumulation of pathogens and keeps your shades looking new. With a little time, simple supplies and a bit of elbow grease, you can clean your sunglasses.
Rinse sunglasses with warm water to remove loose dirt from the exterior.
Spray disinfectant onto a soft cloth until it is damp. Wipe the sunglasses, taking care to clean nosepads, hinges and crevices.
Rinse sunglasses with warm water to remove disinfectant residue.
Dry sunglasses.
