Things You'll Need

  • Paper plates
  • Acrylic paint
  • Stickers
  • Paint brush
  • Pick out acrylic paints, stickers, stamps and nontoxic ink that match your party's theme.

  • Using a small paint brush, paint stripes using one of the acrylic colors on the rim of the plate. Leave enough space between each stripe to alternate colors.

  • Fill in the spaces on the rim of the plate with stripes of the other acrylic colors.

  • Stamp a rubber stamp into nontoxic ink and stamp it on the middle or side of the plate. Use a stamp that matches the theme of your party, or the first letter of the name of the person who is going to use the plate. You could also use a nontoxic black pen to write the recipient's name on the plate.

  • Add matching stickers as a final touch by sticking them partially over the acrylic paint and partially on the main portion of the plate.
