Aging, some diseases, poor diet and lack of sleep can all contribute to dark circles under the eyes. One way to get rid of dark circles caused by fatigue is to use slices of cucumber. Cucumbers contain moisture that acts as a tonic in both drawing out the darkness and adding water to your skin. The cucumber treatment won't instantly remove the dark circles under your eyes. Things You'll Need

  • 3 soft face cloths or towels
  • Warm water
  • Face soap or makeup remover
  • Knife
  • Cucumber
  • Bowl
  • Bed or lounge chair
  • Lukewarm water

Instructions

      Wet a soft face cloth or towel with warm water from a sink. Wipe your face with the damp cloth. Be sure to wipe under each eye.

      Apply a tablespoon of face soap or makeup remover to the cloth or towel. Scrub your face gently with the cloth or towel. Rinse thoroughly with warm water from the sink.

      Pat your face dry with a clean face cloth or towel.

      Cut a cucumber into thin slices. Places the slices in a bowl and refrigerate 30 minutes.

      Lie down on a bed or lounge chair. Close your eyes and place the cucumber slices under your eye and eye lids.

      Leave the slices on your eyes for 15 minutes. Rub the slices gently into your eyelids and the area under your eyes. Dispose of the cucumber slices in your home's trash can.

      Wet a soft face cloth or towel with lukewarm water from a sink. Wipe your eyelids and the area under your eyes with the damp cloth.
