Step-by-Step Instructions on How to Make Little Girl Hair Bows
Hair bows are accessories that little girls wear often to complement their clothes and to dress up their hair. Instead of purchasing hair bows from the store, you can make your own at home. Making your own hair bows allows you to choose the fabric so that you can match the bows to the little girl's clothing, and you can use fabric that appeals to her.

1
Select fabric for the hair bows that is half an inch wide. Choose fabric that matches the little girl's outfit, or select colors and patterns that are her favorite. Materials such as satin and velvet work well for hair bows.
-
2
Cut two pieces of the fabric. One piece needs to be 24 inches long, and the other piece will need to be five inches long.
-
-
3
Make a loop with the largest piece of ribbon with one hand. Holding the loop in place, make a second loop with the ribbon by bringing it up, and around the back of your first loop just like you would if you were tying your shoes.
-
4
Glue the ribbon to a metal hair clip with a hot glue gun. Allow the hot glue to dry.
-
5
Fold the other piece of ribbon in half lengthwise. Tie a knot in the center of the ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the center of the hair bow with the knot on top of the center of the bow, and glue it in place with the hot glue gun.
-
6
Trim the ends of the hair bow to make them even and straight. Cut a "V" shape on the ends of the bow to add flair to the hair bows.
