Paint can rub onto a nylon coat if you brush up against something that has been freshly painted, or if you were wearing the coat while painting something. Whether the coat is one of your favorites or you simply don't want to buy another right now, you'll want to remove the paint. The faster you can treat the spot on your nylon coat, the better.
Things You'll Need
Mineral spirits
Turpentine
Soapy warm water
Cold water
Small brush
Rubbing alcohol
Nail polish remover

Oil-Based Paint
Step 1
Treat the paint stain while it's still wet if possible, as it will be harder to remove once the paint has dried. Dab mineral spirits or turpentine onto the paint to remove it. Flush the area with soapy warm water. Rinse with cold water.

Scrape the paint off with your fingernail or a small brush if the paint has already dried.
Step 3
Apply mineral spirits or turpentine as a spot treatment if any paint is still there after scraping and brushing, or if the paint has left an oil stain.
Step 4
Flush away the paint and the cleaner with warm soapy water.
