You can successfully remove Super Glue Quick Gel with the right products and methods.

Things You'll Need

  • Acetone nail polish remover
  • Old toothbrush
  • Water
  • Dish soap
  • Rags
  • Cotton ball

Removing Super Glue Quick Gel from Clothing

  • Saturate the super glue gel spot with acetone nail polish remover.

  • Scrub the spot with an old toothbrush to remove the glue layer by layer. Apply more acetone nail polish remover as needed.

  • Continue scrubbing until all of the Super Glue Gel is gone. Repeat this process on the inside of the fabric if necessary.

  • Rinse the clothing or fabric with cool water. Wash the clothing as usual. Air-dry the clothing after washing it rather than placing it in the dryer. The heat from the dryer will set in the glue stain if it was not all removed.

  • Inspect the clothing for any traces of the Super Glue Gel after it has air-dried. If the gel is still present, repeat the application of acetone nail polish remover and scrub again with a toothbrush. Wash the clothing again.

Removing Super Glue Quick Gel from Skin

  • Fill the sink with warm water. Add a few squirts of dish soap to the water. Use your hands to combine the soap and water.

  • Soak the skin in the soapy water. If it is on a part of the body that cannot be placed in the sink, saturate a rag with the soapy water and hold it on the skin.

  • Let the skin soak for five minutes and then begin to peel the super glue gel from the skin with your fingernail. Continue soaking for five minutes, then peeling the gel, until a significant amount of the glue has been peeled away.

  • Saturate a cotton ball with acetone nail polish remover to remove the remaining Super Glue Gel. Dab the nail polish remover on to the skin.

  • Hold the cotton ball on to the skin for about five minutes. Peel away the super glue gel with your fingernail. Continue this process until all of the super glue gel is gone.

  • Wash your skin thoroughly with soapy water to remove any traces of the acetone nail polish remover.
