Instructions

    • 1

Run a thin bead of super glue along the side of one wine cork. Press the side of a second wine cork to the first so that the top of one cork fits against the bottom of the other.

    • 2

Continue gluing corks side by side, alternating every other cork, to make the desired width of your wine cork board. This is the first horizontal row of the cork board. Lay it on top of a foam board so that the first wine cork in the row is in the top corner of the foam board.

    • 3

Glue another row of wine corks together the same as the first, but begin the row with the cork turned the opposite direction of the first cork in the first row. Alternating the corks helps create a flush, uniform board. If all of the wine corks faced the same direction, the board would be wavy. Place the second row beneath the first row on the foam board.

    • 4

Continue to glue rows of wine corks side by side and place each row beneath the last until you reach the desired height of your wine cork board. Always alternate the position of the first cork on the row so that it differs from the first cork on the previous row. Subsequently, all of the corks on the row will be opposite from the corks above and below them.

    • 5

Mark and cut the foam board to fit the dimensions of the rows of wine corks.

    • 6

Glue the wine cork rows onto the foam board with viscous craft glue or hot glue and a glue gun. Allow the glue to dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • Glue ribbon or attach decorative wood trim around the perimeter of the wine cork board to add emphasis to the design.
