With a long tradition of crafting quality bone china, Wedgewood produces attractive yet durable china in a variety of patterns. Even though the pieces are hand-detailed, they are, for the most part, intended for everyday use and can be hand washed or placed in a dishwasher on a gentle cycle, and even microwaved, if the pattern does not contain gold or platinum.
Things You'll Need
- Paper separators
- Liquid dish detergent
Store Wedgewood china safely in the cabinet/cupboard by placing paper separators between each piece to avoid scratching when stacking. Avoid pulling out a piece from the bottom without first removing pieces from the top.
Load Wedgewood china into the dishwasher, assuring that pieces are not touching. Run the cycle at a maximum of 149 degrees F, either on the short wash or china cycle. Allow the rinse cycle to run to avoid deposits forming on the china.
Wash Wedgewood china by hand using hot water and a liquid dish detergent, such as ordinary Palmolive and Palmolive Lemon Scented, which Wedgewood recommends.
Heat up food items on Wedgewood China in the microwave without worries, as long as the pieces are not decorated with gold or platinum, which can be harmed or cause harm to the microwave.
