How to Clean Mold From Window Blinds
Blinds are a popular choice for window treatments. Blinds are inexpensive and come in a variety of materials, colors and designs, making them a good choice for any décor. Over time, blinds can become dusty, dirty, dingy and even moldy. During humid months, mold will begin to grow on damp blinds. Things You'll Need
- Bleach
- Water
- 2 5-gallon buckets
- Soft bristled brush
- Mild dishwashing liquid
- Cloth
- Water hose

Remove your blinds from the window.

Lay the blinds outside on your porch, sidewalk or driveway.

Combine 1 part bleach with 10 parts water in a 5-gallon bucket.

Saturate a soft bristle brush with the mixture.

Brush the blinds, starting at one end and working toward the other side.

Flip the blinds over and continue to brush them.

Fill a clean bucket with cool water. Add a few drops of a mild dishwashing liquid.

Saturate a cloth in the mixture and wipe down the blinds.

Rinse the blinds with a water hose.

Wipe the blinds dry with a clean towel.

Reattach the blinds to the window.
