Homemade Pet Stain Removal for Carpets
Pet stains occur on the carpet even if there isn't a new puppy in the house. Older dogs or cats occasionally soil the carpet and the temptation to mark territory often overrides training. Removing those stains is essential to keep a home looking and smelling fresh and clean. While commercial chemical products designed to remove pet stains are available, you can make your own inexpensive and environmentally friendly homemade pet stain cleaner. Does this Spark an idea?

4
Combine a teaspoon of liquid hand dishwashing soap in a cup of warm water.
-
5
Scrub the soap solution into the carpet, using your fingers and working into the fibers.
-
6
Rinse the soap from the area, using a sponge soaked in water.
-
7
Mix ½ cup of warm water with ½ cup of white vinegar.
-
8
Sponge the area with the vinegar/water solution and let it set for about five minutes.
