How to Clean Louis Vuitton Leather

Use dish soap to clean your Louis Vuitton leather.

Louis Vuitton is a high-end designer, manufacturing a variety of leather handbags and accessories. As these items are very expensive, you should properly clean and maintain them. Clean the leather with elements that will safely remove dirt and residue without doing any damage.

Things You'll Need

• Baby wipes
• Bowl
• Water
• Dish detergent
• Cleaning rag
• Leather conditioner

Instructions

1. Wipe the leather surface with baby wipes to remove surface dirt. Unscented, dye-free wipes will work best.

2. Fill a dish with soapy water. Mix a half cup of warm water with two drops of dish detergent.

3. Dip a cleaning rag into the soapy water, and wring out excess moisture.

4. Wipe gently over the leather surface, rubbing in small circular motions to break away any residue.

5. Rinse the rag with fresh water, wring out, and wipe over the leather once more to remove any soapy residue.

Tips & Warnings

• Apply a leather conditioning treatment as needed when your leather begins to look dry. This will prevent the leather from cracking or over-drying, which will ultimately prolong the look and feel of the leather.
