Keeping your whites as bright as they can be is a priority, whether it be your bedding, towels or clothing. When white clothing gets yellow stains from sweat or other elements, you can whiten the stains naturally and safely. With just a few kitchen ingredients, lifting yellow stains off of your whites doesn't have to be a headache.
Things You'll Need
- 2 fresh lemons
- Hand juicer
- 20-oz spray bottle
- 6 tbsp. white vinegar
- Fresh water
Cut and juice the lemons thoroughly with the hand juicer and save the juice.
Add the juice with the vinegar to the plastic bottle.
Fill the bottle the rest of the way with fresh water. Seal the bottle and shake it vigorously for approximately 60 seconds.
Wash the stained clothing in hot water with a 1/4 capful of bleach.
Hang the stained white clothing outdoors on a clothesline.
Spray the areas of the yellow stains with the prepared solution, making sure to saturate the fabric with it.
Allow the clothing to dry naturally in full sunlight for a day.
