How to Remove Wax Residue From Glass
Candles or other wax decorations add warmth to your decor. Glass tables are a popular location for candles because, when burning at night, the warm glow of the candle is reflected in the glass. If, as the candle wax melts, it drips over the edge of the candle holder, it can create a mess on your table. Fortunately, it's simple to remove the wax residue and have clean glass again. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Heat the wax with a hair dryer to soften it. Keep the hair dryer on low or medium heat so the wax doesn't splash or spray from the force of high heat as it liquefies. It's better for your glass surface to remove the wax in liquid form than to try to scrape it off. Scraping will only result in permanent scratches.

2
Wipe the liquefied wax away with a towel. Fold the towel over to a clean spot or use a new towel, and continue to wipe until you have gotten up as much of the wax as possible.

3
Wipe or polish, in a circular motion, over any area with leftover wax residue or a waxy shine, using a used dryer sheet. Buff the area until all wax is gone. Not only will the wax disappear, it will also leave the glass shiny.

Tips & Warnings
Use high-quality candles that don't have additives that cause them to spill over. Place a drip plate underneath your candle holder to catch any spills.
Melted or warmed wax can burn the skin; keep children at a distance when removing wax.
