Carhartt clothing is made with working men and women in mind. It is meant to get dirty and can be washed at home, using a standard washing machine and dryer. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

  1. Coveralls

    • 1

      Wash your coveralls in a washing machine using cold water and detergent.

    • 2

      Tumble-dry coveralls on a no heat setting. They can also be hung to dry.

    • 3

      Remove your coveralls from the dryer immediately following the cycle to prevent wrinkling.

    Caps

    • 4

      Fill a sink, bathtub or bucket with cold water and a small amount of detergent.

    • 5

      Immerse the cap in the water and gently scrub. Let soak if necessary.

    • 6

      Rinse the cap with cold water until all of the soap is removed.

    • 7

      Reshape the cap if needed and lay flat to dry.

    Sweats, Jeans and Shorts

    • 8

      Wash your sweats, jeans or shorts in a washing machine using cold water and detergent.

      Tumble-dry your sweats, jeans or shorts on a medium-heat setting.

    • 10

      Remove sweats, jeans or shorts from the dryer immediately following the cycle to prevent wrinkling.

    All Other Carhartt Clothing

    • 11

      For bib overalls, woven shirts, duck shorts and pants, canvas shorts and pants, T-shirts, thermal underwear, jackets and coats, wash in a washing machine using warm water and detergent.

      Tumble-dry your Carhartt clothing on a medium-heat setting.

      Remove all Carhartt clothing from the dryer immediately following the cycle to prevent wrinkling.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your Carhartt clothing has a label, follow the instructions located there.

  • Iron on low heat if needed.

  • Do not use bleach on Carhartt clothing.

  • Denim, twill, chambray and other unlined Carhartt clothing should not be washed in water warmer than 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Lined Carhartt clothing should not be washed in water warmer than 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
