Resetting your Verizon Wireless cellphone satellite refreshes your cellphone connections so it can access new towers, which can give you better service, fewer dropped calls and reduce wasted roaming while between towers. Because new towers are being added all the time, you may want to reset your cell phone satellite towers every month.
Push “*228” on your Verizon Wireless cellphone and press the “Send” key.
Stay on the line while you listen to an automated system provide you with options. When prompted press the “2” key on your cellphone keypad to update your tower service.
Listen until the automated system confirms your phone is upgraded; this process could take several minutes.
