How to Clean Faux Leather Skechers
Unlike leather, faux-leather shoes don't require any special products during the cleaning process, such as shoe polish or conditioners. Using typical household products--such as dishwashing soap, cloths and a toothbrush--it's easy to keep your faux-leather Skechers in good condition. Mix up a solution of dish washing soap and water in your bathroom sink, tub or separate container. Soap should be added until there are bubbles in the water.

Dip a soft, clean cloth in the water, squeezing out the excess. You want to make sure that the cloth doesn't soak the inside of the shoes.

Wipe the faux-leather surface of your Skechers in small, circular motions, concentrating on the dirty spots. Rinse the cloth; re-wet it in the soapy water when necessary. Repeat this process until the surface is clean.

Wipe the surface area dry. Use another clean, soft cloth. Rub it in a circular motion to buff the pair of Skechers.

Tips & Warnings
Always wipe or brush off any excess dirt from your shoes before cleaning. Use a soft toothbrush dipped in soapy water for tougher stains, but be careful not to rough up the surface.A toothbrush dipped in soapy water can also be used to scrub the dirt off the rubber outer edges of the shoe. Shoelaces can also be dipped in soapy water and rubbed between the hands to clean.
It's not a good idea to put your Skechers in the washing machine, as this can damage them. Hand washing is best, and air drying is recommended.
