Things You'll Need:
- Ziploc bags
- Large pot of boiling water
- 2 Eggs
- Ham
- Cheeses
- Onion
- Salsa
- Whatever you like
-
Step 1
Get Nice Rolling Boil GoingStart boiling a large pot of water. Get the water to a rolling boil.
-
Step 2
Use Large or Extra Large Eggs for Your OmeletteCrack 2 eggs into a quart size ziploc freezer bag. Use the freezer bags because they are thicker, sturdier plastic. Use large or extra large eggs.
-
Step 3
Chop and Shred Ingredients For Your OmeletteAdd your choice of chopped and shredded ingredients to the ziploc bag. Be creative.
-
Step 4
Shake the bag vigorously until the eggs are mixed well with the ingredients. Let the air out of the bag and zip it up.
-
Step 5
Place the bags of omelette mixture in the boiling water. You should be able to fit 6 to 8 bags in a pot depending on the size pot you are using.
-
Step 6
Leave the omelettes in the boiling water for 13 minutes.
-
Step 7
Cut Open with ScissorsRemove the bags after 13 minutes. Cut the bag with scissors and roll out your omelette onto a plate. Be careful not to burn yourself when you cut the bag open.

on 11/29/2009 Love it. I learned of this technique about a year ago and absolutely love it. Everyone in my family likes their omlet different. This allows everyone to have their perfect combo of likings, allows you to make several at a time, cuts clean up with yucky pans, and cuts calories by not having to oil or butter a skillet. YUM!!
