1
Determine where you would like to hang the towel bar in your bathroom. Measure the length of the towel bar, and mark the location on the wall where you would like to hang it with either a light pencil mark or erasable marker.

2
Hold the towel bar in place on the wall, and place a long strip of masking tape over each end to keep it in place on the wall. The masking tape will keep the bar in place on the wall while you apply the glue.

3
Check the level of the towel bar by placing your level on it. If it is uneven, adjust whichever end to make it even. Place the rod inside the two ends before setting it with glue in the next step.
-
4
Place a border of 100 percent silicone glue around the edges of the towel bar where it meets the ceramic tile. Use a wet rag or your fingertips to smooth out the edges.

5
Allow the glue to dry for 24 hours. Remove the tape, and apply any additional glue that needs to go in spots that may have been covered by the tape. Again, smooth the edges with a wet rag or your fingertips, and allow it to dry for 24 hours before placing any towels or weight on the bar.
