How to Make a Pop-to-Christmas Bubble Wrap Calendar
Pop-to-Christmas bubble calendars can help enhance the fun and excitement in the days leading up to Christmas. Placing a bubble on each day for a family member to pop can be an entertaining addition to annual traditions. Whether you pop the daily bubble leading up to Christmas in the morning, afternoon, at dinnertime or right before bed, it's a pleasant activity to remind the entire family of how close you are to the holiday.

1
Obtain bubble wrap that has at least 40 large bubbles to allow for possible mistakes. Bubble wrap can be purchased in person at office supply stores, large chains such Target and Wal-Mart, or online retailers such as Amazon.
-
2
Cut out at least 40 individual bubbles from the bubble wrap. Cut only on the background of the bubble-wrap sheet, being careful to avoid cutting the bubble. Be careful not to handle the bubbles themselves much, as it is easy to deflate or pop them. If possible, cut the background around the bubble in approximately the same square shape and size as the squares on your calendar.

Using the craft or Elmer's glue, place four small dots of glue, one in each corner, on a square on the calendar, starting with Dec. 1. Place one bubble on the square. Continue this process up to and including Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

If desired, add optional decorative items to your calendar. These can include glitter, stickers, pictures and hand-written notes. These can be placed on the edges or heading of the calendar. Some families keep these calendars for sentimental reasons, so keep this in mind when adding personalized touches.

Tips & Warnings
If you'd like the calendar to pop all the way to New Year's Day, cut out and apply 31 bubbles. Apply one to each day in December.
If you'd like a bubble calendar that encompasses the entire year, make separate pages for each month. This way, the pages won't stack on top of one another and pop too early.
The bubbles sometimes have microscopic holes that may cause a few to go flat. Keep some of the extras on hand to replace these as necessary.
Bubble calendars make great gifts, but be careful when wrapping them to ensure the bubbles don't pop.
