Things You'll Need

  • Undershirt
  • Shorts
  • Cloth
  • Belt
  • Gold chain
  • Amulet
  • Jewelry
  • Fake sword
  • Sandals or thongs
Step 1

Have your child don an undershirt and a pair of shorts. A Tank top, bathing suit top or a T-shirt all work well. This will ensure that your child is not exposed in any way.

Step 2

Find enough cloth to wrap around your child's waist one-and-a-half times. The amount needed will vary depending on the size of the child.

Step 3

Pin the cloth once it has been wrapped around the child. Pinning it will ensure the toga stays in place.

Step 4

Make sure the toga hangs to about the knees. Don't make it too short-- and create a mini toga. Making the toga too long can lead to your child tripping over the cloth.

Step 5

Throw the remaining cloth towards the back over one shoulder. Pin it again at the waist. This ensures the toga stays in place.

Step 7

For a girl's toga, add a leather belt or chain to accentuate her waistline. A belt is also a fun accessory that gives the toga more personality. Dress the child in sandals or thongs, which are great footwear to put a finishing touch on your child's toga.
